A fixture in the Springfield art scene, Augustson sees his art as “a visual symphony of space, color, form and motion. The space between those elements is like the silence of rests in music. The essence of the finished work is alive and urges the viewer to breath in harmony with it.”
Augustson attended the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. He also went on to receive an AA degree in Photography from College of Du Page Glen Ellyn, IL and a BS in Fine Art from Drury University Springfield, MO. Dale teaches art classes at Ozarks Technical Community College in Springfield, MO where he also has work on display in the office of Continuing Education.
